Good exhaust shop?

Anybody know someone around Kalamazoo that can do decent exhaust work. I need a tailpipe and it is a bit of an obstacle course on my TJ. I have had two shops say no and a friend offer to try with no promises.
The turndown after my muffler is just too loud.

Merlin Muffler on Westnedge right by Target. They can work magic.

I would give VanSweden's a try, they are located on centre between portage rd. and sprinkle. When I had my exhaust done at Lentz on riverview they ended up doing the y-pipe twice and it still isn't right. So i'm either taking mine to VanSwedens in the spring or Tig welding my own custom exhaust, but haven't decided what i wanted to do yet. When you want good articulation its hard to get the exhaust past the rear axle without touching anything.

Lentz (Riverview) said they could do it, but they ended up just putting a turndown on. Sorta made me mad, but I have had good experiences with them before and they are priced well. They also put the muffler a little high, so you can feel it through the floor really bad. I can't be mad about that though, I told them I wanted the tip of the tailpipe high so I didn't smash it. They were just trying to keep the muffler out of the way too.

Never heard of VanSwedens, if I get time I might talk with them tomorrow. I will give Merlins a shot too.

With this kind of thing, it's more of the person doing the work then the shop. That makes it harder to find somewhere.

i know what you mean, supposedly the best guy in the shop at lentz did mine and I have had nothing but clearance issues with the exhaust system

the woods brothers exhaust does a damn good job and they are pretty cheap its the only place ill take my vehicles but they are in bc

wish i knew that name over the last couple of weeks. They did some minor work on my impala and my sisters jeep
