Wanted - Cheap small car

I need something else to drive, I'm currently spending over $500 in gas a month just going to work and back. A TJ on 35's is not cutting it for my drive to work and I don't want to be putting so many miles on it so fast. I need something getting around 25mpg or better, not too picky about a car just something fairly reliable. I don't have a problem fixing small problems, but I don't want to spend all the money I'm saving in gas to buy parts for it.

I really don't have anything in mind, preferably 4 cyl with less then 100,000 miles. Manual would be alright, and A/C would be awesome, but that's about it. I'm pretty open for anything else.

How cheap. I've kinda been looking too. There Is a cavalier on gl for like 800. I found a Saturn ion 2005 w/87k for 3000.

If you find any good deals that you don't want post them. At this point I have nothing to drove to School anymore plus if I could get 35mpg instead of 8-10 then that would pay to fix the jeep

There Is a park avenue ultra on the silver lake forum. 3300 with 170k but it looks nice. I know it's kinda a grandma car but shoot 30 mpg and a supercharger plus it's not some tiny little cramped car. I'd consider it if I had that much to spend
