99 xj heater blower motor replacement

finally got tired of not having heat and/or defrost. purchased the new blower motor from campbell's auto for $86...autozone and pep boys both wanted $135+ for it. here's the write-up i followed:

i would suggest removing the AC canister clamp and rotating it out of the way. gives much more room to get the old fan motor out and the new one in.

this winter has been rough on the old girl. a blown rear brake wheel cylinder, snapped hood release cable, a blown radiator and most recently a dead heater blower motor. i still need to replace my blower motor resistor pack since that's been bad for about 2 years and i've only been able to use the fan on setting 4. probably what lead to the death of the motor itself. 248,168 miles and she's falling apart!

    up next:
    replace burned out parking light
    heather blower motor resistor
    (below reserved for warmer weather)
replace the OTHER side of the drum brakes
fix horribly cracked exhaust manifold and engine mounts
remove and clean neutral safety switch (no reverse lights and sometimes won't shift into overdrive)
attempt to make the 4.0 oil-leak-free again:oil pan gasket and rear main seal/valve cover gasket/oil filter adapter o-rings
address the cancer under the driver's side rear window
    rear axle wheel bearings
    driveshaft u-joints front & rear
    replace shocks
figure out the grinding/clunking/popping noise when turning in 4wd (i know it isn't axle u-joints, wheel bearings or ball joints)
    replace cracked windshield

she will see 300,000...whether she wants to or not!
